Executive Vice President Marketing & Sales Guido Dalessi has been appointed Chief Executive Officer - CEO of SINGULUS MASTERING BV/The Netherlands and will assume his duties effective May 1, 2006. Roland Lacher, CEO of the parent company SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG, today announced Dalessi’s promotion at Eindhoven and said: “Guido Dalessi has demonstrated strong leadership for the formation and development of the company after the merger of SINGULUS OMP and ODME BV in 2004. He will therefore lead the company into the future.“
A graduate in Physics (1986), Mr. Dalessi started as a service engineer for lasers and spend 10 years in the R&D of laser based Doppler equipment. Subsequently, he studied Marketing and Business Administration and joined the predecessor company OMP in 1997.
At the same date Jelm Franse has been appointed Executive Vice President Technology and Innovation. He will succeed Jack Compen, Executive Vice President Operations, who has announced his retirement for the end of Q III/2006.
Born in 1958, Franse holds a Master in Applied Metals Sciences and a PhD based on his work as a research scientist at Philips. After his studies, he has spent more than 15 years with Philips where he has held several management positions.
With these two top management appointments SINGULUS MASTERING will be well suited for future growth and technology excellence regarding 3rd generation new formats HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
