SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG, Kahl am Main, has received another major order for SPACELINE DVD replication lines from TECHNICOLOR valued at 30 million Euro.
A member of the French THOMSON group, the optical disc replicator TECHNICOLOR recently acquired the DVD and CD disc replication and distribution operations owned by MATSUSHITA (better known by its brand name PANASONIC DISC SERVICES CORP.) in Mexico and Ireland, thereby becoming the leading DVD manufacturer worldwide.
This additional major order underscores SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES' leading position in the booming DVD market. Orders for 130 DVD lines have already been placed during the current fiscal year. The demand for video DVDs as well as DVD-ROMs for game consoles continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Now two of every three DVDs are produced on SINGULUS-manufactured SPACELINEs.
