At a meeting held on Sept. 2, 2002, the Supervisory Board appointed Dipl. Ing. Klaus Hammen to the Managing Board of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG, Kahl/Main.
Reiner Seiler (63) will be retiring upon expiration of his contract on October 31, 2002, bringing to a close his 5 years of service on the company’s Managing Board. He, along with CEO Roland Lacher and financial investors, founded SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES GmbH in June 1995. By employing a market-driven product policy, the company successfully expanded its global business activities, raising revenues from 45 million Euro in 1996 to 225 million Euro in 2001 and becoming the worldwide market leader in optical disc replication systems. Among Reiner Seiler’s many contributions instrumental to the company’s success are his excellent business contacts, particularly in Asian regions.
Klaus Hammen (35) will assume Reiner Seiler’s responsibilities as head of the Development, Sales and Marketing divisions. His appointment to the Managing Board is a promotion made from within the ranks of SINGULUS employees.Mr. Hammen, who holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich, began his career as a Development Engineer and then as Director of Engineering at another company prior to joining SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES on February 1, 2000 as Director of Engineering, Production and Logistics. Effective mid-year, Mr. Hammen was also appointed Managing Director of SINGULUS EMOULD GmbH, Aachen.
