The Kahl-based SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES corporation has been awarded new orders for a total of 26 CD-R replication lines. The machines were ordered by two Asian customers and will be delivered to Taiwan and Hong Kong. The total value for both orders is 40 million DM. Significant technical advantages enabled SINGULUS to prevail over other bidders. A favorable cost-per-disc ratio and minimal demands on space and energy were crucial elements in the SINGULUS proposals.
The hardware in the CD-R replication line sold by SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is already configured to manufacture not just CD-R, but DVD-R (once recordable DVDs with a 4.7 Gbyte storage capacity) as well.
The company was also given options on additional systems.
