Growth continues to be above average for SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG. Due to its worldwide market leadership position for CD/CD-ROM and especially DVD systems, the corporation will profit from this year's additional growth in both of these product groups.
This has been reaffirmed by a major new order for DVD replication lines with a total value of approximately 70 million DM. Delivery of 120 DVD lines is expected in the year 2000 alone (1999 = 26 lines).
As orders received for CD replication lines have also far exceeded projections, higher total revenues of 600 million DM are expected for the current year (1999 = 346.7 million DM). By comparison, earnings growth will increase disproportionately.
Due to the global overcapacity of installations in 1999, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES anticipated the slump now evident in the CD-R line market. The resultant conservative 2000 budget for this product group now coincides with the present situation.
