Balda presents newly-developed SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES production line DECOLINE at this year’s “Innovation Days
June 13, 2007

Kahl am Main, June 13, 2007 – Balda AG has presented the production line developed together with SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG for the manufacture and refining of three-dimensional plastic parts at the company’s “Innovation Days in Bad Oeynhausen. The line, named DECOLINE, is the only production line to integrate injection molding, metallizing and painting completely in one production flow. At the Balda “Innovation Days over 50 interested customers could meet with experts on innovative technologies and design developments and get an impression of the capability of the plant engineering.
A development cooperation for a new production line for the processing of plastic surfaces was agreed with Balda AG, Bad Oeynhausen, in October 2006. On the basis of the SINGULUS 3DS metallizer a production line has been developed, which integrates all necessary production steps from the injection molding machines to the metallization and the application of anti-scratch finishes. All production processes are completely automated. Amongst others, the line is also useful in applications like packaging for cosmetics & personal care, toys and automobile industries. Accordingly, the requirements of the process handling within the respective industrial sectors are considered.

“With the DECOLINE, we have jointly developed a machine which allows Balda to respond flexibly to all different kinds of requirements. This concept is currently unmatched in the market. The good cooperation with the key customer Balda allows SINGULUS the opportunity to enter the market for decorative protective coatings with the currently most innovative product in the segment. This is another important step for us towards diversification.", says Stefan A. Baustert, CEO of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG.
