Kahl am Main, August 20, 2007 - The Board of Directors of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG is pleased to announce the appointment of Koh Seng Cheng as the new President of the daughter company SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Asia Pacific. He has assumed his duties effective August 15, 2007. Koh Seng Cheng, 40, has a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Singapore Nanyang Technological University and a Masters Degree in Business (International Marketing) from Curtin University of Technology, Australia. He has been employed by SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Asia Pacific since the company’s foundation in September, 1996.
Kevin Parnell, Mr. Cheng’s predecessor, recently decided to retire from his position. The Board recognizes Mr. Parnell’s contributions to the growth and success of the company and appreciates the leadership he has given to SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Asia Pacific over the years. Kevin Parnell started the Asia Pacific office in September 1996.

Baustert, President and CEO of the parent company in Kahl, Germany, speaking on behalf of the company, states, "Kevin has done an outstanding job in setting up our business in Asia and especially in China. We regret his decision to retire. At the same time, we are please to assign Cheng to his new position. Cheng has proven that he is an excellent leader, and we have a lot of trust and confidence that he will successfully manage our Asian operations. We see a great business potential in Asia in the upcoming years, not only in optical disc but also in Solar, our newest division."
