Kahl am Main, February 08, 2007 - The HamaTech AG (HamaTech), a company in the SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Group sells 100 % of the shares in the STEAG ETA-Optik GmbH (ETA-Optik), Heinsberg, to the stock-listed Swedish company AudioDev AB, Malmö. The purchase price of € 3.25 million shall be paid in cash today. Therefore, the disposal becomes effective as of February 8, 2007. With the sale of the shares the company and its about 40 employees are no longer part of the scope of consolidation of HamaTech and therefore of the SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Group. In 2006, ETA-Optik generated sales of € 4.85 million.
Optical measuring technology and analytic systems by ETA-Optik are used in various sectors for automation and process control of complex procedures. SINGULUS will continue to employ measuring equipment by ETA-Optik for optical disc replication lines in the future.
After the disposal of 51 % of the shares in the Slovakian subsidiary in Nové Mesto as of October 1, 2006, the portfolio optimization is continuing. With this step SINGULUS has sold an additional non-core activity. With the closing of the HamaTech acquisition on January 27, 2006 SINGULUS had announced to sell non-core activities if attractive offers are submitted or to transfer the businesses into joint ventures with strategic partners.
